I received an ARC for this book for my honest review
This is my first read from this author and I really enjoyed this book. There are 2 POVs .....Hannah and HIM (who is stalking her) I loved not knowing who HIM was because I kept going back and forth trying to figure HIM out. There were times I was cheering on for Trent then I would switch to Carter.
Hannah was having a good time at her families hotel The Wellesley-Crawford Hotel, masquerade party, letting loose, partying and drinking with friends. Then the thunder knocked out the electricity. People were moving to the exit signs but he found her in the crowd and brought her to the stairwell on the opposite side away from the others partiers.
“Tell me what you want, Hannah,” he insisted, his voice a throaty whisper of desperation.
“I-I want…you,” Hannah said, breathlessly. Hannah had the best sex of her life but the masked man ran off before she could find out who he was.
Eight months later...she's moved on with her life. Her grandmother was retiring and giving the COO position to Hannah but Trent Crawford shows up at the meeting as well. Hannah can't believe that after 10 years Trent came back but not for her but to take over the COO position which, belonged to her.
Then there's Carter Delevan who takes over the head chief position at the hotel that Hannah's grandmother offers to him. Hannah met Carter at the ball too, they danced together and had fun. She likes him and thinks that they might be perfect for each other but she can't get her mind off of Trent
