“I can’t fucking deal with this shit right now.” I run my hands through my hair and pull at the ends. Now I understand why Tate’s always doing it. If he’s dealing with stressful shit like this, I can see the appeal of pulling your hair out.
“Oh, you can’t fucking deal? No big surprise there, Cameron! Anytime we talk about anything remotely serious you take off so you don’t have to deal with it. You don’t have to run this time, I’m fucking going to the apartment. I’m sick of you being such a fucking pussy when it comes to serious shit.” I just stand in the middle of the room and watch her throw her stuff in her bag quickly and don’t move to stop her. She pulls her bag toward the door but stops and looks back at me. I stay quiet and blink at her.
“Fuck you, Cameron Wentworth,” she says seriously then walks out the door. Fuck me indeed.

Sapphire chatted with us over e-mail giving us a glimpse of her everyday life.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I have always loved
writing, whether it is a poem/short story when I was younger or one of the many
college papers I wrote for all of my Psychology classes I took in college. I
started really writing books about three years ago. My first published piece is
my book Secrets. It is the first book I wrote completely for myself. I wanted
to write exactly the type of book I would want to read, and I did.
How long does it take you to write a book?
So far, my average is
about a month. I want to start writing longer books though, so I expect my time
to increase slightly.
What is your work schedule like when you're writing?
I write after my gym
session, from 11:30 am-1pm. I write when I wait to pick my kids up 1:30-2:40. I
write in the evenings when my hubby goes to bed 11:30 p.m.- 1 am. I write
everyday of the week if possible, sometimes it's 500 words and others it's
5,000. I edit as I go, so I am on my laptop a lot. I've never been one to just
pound out words and not worry about them. I try to make them perfect, so my
editing process goes quickly during first edits.
Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
I will be driving or
in the shower and ideas just hit me out of nowhere. I have a bad habit of just
standing in the shower and running a scene through my head.
Tell us a little about your background!
I’m a mom of two
awesome boys. I married my love when I was twenty years old. That was eleven
years ago and we are still going strong, even after his deployments from the
military. I absolutely love football. I am a die-hard New England Patriots fan.
I have gone to college for ten years, for four different majors. I studied
Psychology to become a Doctor the past 4 years but have fallen back in love
with writing. I have two Doberman Pinschers, who I love a great deal. We are
currently planning on having another baby. We want to get pregnant around June.
I was mostly raised by my grandmother. She is the woman I idolize and hold the
highest respect for. I love fast cars, tattoos, and loud music.
What is the biggest lie you've ever told?
I can't really
remember. My biggest pet peeve is lying. I tend to hurt peoples feelings by
being too honest.
Have you ever been in trouble with the police? If YES, for
what?
LOL wow! Was not
expecting this question!!! Okay when I was a teenager I got into an argument
with my mom and left walking to a corner store close to the house. The cops
were called and it was blown way out of proportion.
What is your biggest fear?
Not being a good
mother. I had a rough childhood and do my best to give my children a happy
life.
If you were a super hero, what would your name be? What
costume would you wear?
LOL I would totally
wear black leather!!! Just because I could! My name would probably be Saucy
Sapphire! Wait, that sounded way too close to a stripper name...
What secret talents do you have?
I am pretty crafty,
not sure if that counts?
If you could have any accent from anywhere in the world, what
would you choose?
Definitely favorite
question! I absolutely love accents! I guess I would say British if I have to
pick just one!
Do you ever daydream about people you see at the park?
Airport? Train station? Mall? And build romance scenes around them while you
daydream?
No, never. My
characters appear to me a certain way and it's usually really hard to find
someone who meets the criteria. The closest so far to a character of mine has
been David Byers.
What is your favorite body part?
Arms. A man with big,
muscular arms is so sexy!
What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Live and Learn
If you could be any fictional character, who would you
choose?
I would choose to be
in Beautiful Disaster so I could have Travis Maddox!
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
When I was younger I
was always told I looked like Helen hunt or the blonde chick who played in Joan
or Arc or some movie lol
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
I loath washing
dishes!
What is the strangest dream you've ever had?
I have dreamed both
times- I was pregnant with boys and even accurate descriptions of hair and eye
color. I recently had a dream I had twin boys and my husband freaked out, from
the previous accuracy with my other sons LOL
If you had to choose, which one would it be: intelligent but
not that good looking, or good looking but not that intelligent?
Looks. I was an ugly
duckling when I was a kid. Things are so much easier in life when you are
somewhat pretty. Sounds shallow, but from my experience, the truth.
What is the best book you have read so far?
Too many to list. I
can give you a top 20, but not 1.
What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count
sheep? Toss and Turn? Try to get up and do something productive?
I read or write.
When making an entrance into a party, do you make your
presence known? Do you slip in and look for someone you know? Do you sneak in
quietly and find a safe spot to roost?
It depends on who's
party it is. If it's my BFF then I make myself known. If it's an event or
something I'm not as comfortable with, I look for someone I know.
What’s one thing you’d rather pay someone to do than do
yourself? Why?
I would rather pay and
get my eyebrows waxed than do them myself. Less time consuming and less painful
with the wax!
When do you find yourself singing?
When I am writing with
my headphones in, I sing a lot.
What's the absolute best vacation you can imagine?
One with no phones,
nice weather, friendly people, no stress and lot's of money I can spend!
You have to drink four pints of a liquid per day (not water).

If your home were on fire and you did not have to worry about

what would you say?
